Background removal questions
Is the background really transparent?
Yes. The result is a PNG with an alpha channel, so everything around the subject is transparent. On the page it is shown on a checkerboard so you can see it.
How much does it cost?
Each background removal uses 6 credits. If something goes wrong, the credits are refunded automatically.
Which images work best?
Photos with a clear main subject, such as a person, a product, an animal or an object, give the cleanest edges. Busy scenes, or subjects that blend into the background, may need a second try.
Which formats and sizes can I upload?
JPEG, PNG and WebP. Large images are resized to 2048 pixels on the long side before processing so they upload quickly.
Is my original image changed?
No. The cut-out is saved as a new image in your library and the original stays as it was.
